Privacy Policy
WaterBoy stores your hydration data on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We don't run our own servers, we don't collect analytics, and we never sell data.
What we collect
WaterBoy records only what you enter or what the app needs to work:
- Your logged sips, cup sizes, and daily goal.
- Your reminder schedule and notification preferences.
- Your first name, if you choose to use friend features.
We do not collect your email address, contacts, location, health records, or any advertising identifier. There is no analytics SDK and no third-party tracker in the app.
Where it lives
Your data is saved on your iPhone or Mac. If you have iCloud enabled, it syncs through your own private iCloud account so your devices stay in step. That data is controlled by you under your Apple ID, and we cannot read it. We operate no servers of our own and hold no copy of your hydration history.
Friends & sharing
Friend features are optional and off until you add someone. When you do, WaterBoy shares only your first name and your daily progress with the people you have added. It never shares your reminder times, individual sip entries, or anything else from your account. You can remove a friend at any time, which stops the sharing immediately.
Deleting your data
Open Settings in WaterBoy and tap Delete all data to erase your history on the device and in iCloud. Deleting the app removes its local data as well; to clear the iCloud copy, use Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage on your device. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing further for us to delete on your behalf.
